2 Year Child, Suffering From Fever, White Patch On Top Of Tongue. Taking Penicillin, Ibuprofen, Nystatin. Suggestions?

Hi my child is 2 and half she's got fever for about 6 days now today again its 38.9and white patch top of tongue nd spots around tongue inside lip side of cheek nd back of throat and gums doc gave penicillin also giving her nystatin, ibuprofen,dactarin gel for mouth. I'm worried what's best cos she feels pain nd is not eating or drinking properly

Thanks for your query

i can feel your concerns

i advise you to complete course of antibiotic

for fungal infection of mouth apply nystatin and dactarin oral gel

give her plenty of fluids

moniter her hydration status

fo fever give her ibuprufen and paracetamol alternatively

you can give these medicines 6 hourly

tapid water sponging also helpful

wishing her a speedy recovery
