17 year old with shortness of breath, underweight and anxiety. Feeling knots in the body. Family history of thyroid problems

alright so i'm 17 and am a male
i can't tell whether i'm just thinking too much or what.
i am restless every night, i have horrible anxiety, i get shortness of breath, i'm underweight (6 foot 120 pounds), there are several knots on my body (i think swollen lymph nodes) by the inner thigh and neck and chin. i heard there have been thyroid problems in the family and i'm worried this is to blame.

Hi, many thanks for the query!
Yes, these are the symptoms of Hyperthyroidism, but to come to an exact diagnosis, you need to do your Thyroid profile including- T3, T4, TSH.
Dont worry, if its hyperthyroidism, it is completely curable with medicines.
For body knots you should get physically examined by your doctor so that if these are enlarged lymph nodes, one can search for foci of infections, that can be treated with appropriate antibiotics and if these are not the enlarged L.N.,
FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) of the swellings should be done to know their histopathology.
Wish you a good health. Take care.
