15 Months Old Suffering From Chronic Nausea And Vomiting,taking Ranitidin But Not Satisfied With The Treatment

my 15 months old daughter has chronic nausea and vomiting. the pediatric gastroentrologist diagnosed as moderate esophageal reflux and prescribed Ranitidin 2cc 3 times a day.She dose not have increase in weight and she is very Jaded and pale.what i can do for improve her?

Ranitidine has absolute NO ROLE in reflux and another things in this age group reflux is very very RARE.Please go to a pediatrician for treatment .

Check her diet. Is it rich in fruits, vegetables, pulses, cereals, eggs, milk. If not she needs to have a well balanced diet to improve her weight, overall well being. Also she could be having anaemia which explains pale skin and tiredness. You can add jaggery, which is rich in iron in the diet. Also she can be dewormed for Hookworm which causes iron deficiency anaemia commonly. Better to get her investigated, get a Haemoglobin, blood counts, stool examination done.
