Brief Answer:
hi

Detailed Answer:

Hello
welcome to ask a doctor.
thank you for your query.
i understand your concern.
well diabetes by itself usually does not cause rise in bilirubin.
Liver involvement in diabetes could be due to fat deposition in liver leading to non alcoholic steatohepatitis leading to raised sgot sgpt but rarely can the bilirubin too rise. also some drugs like used to reduce cholesterol like atorvastatin and some anti diabetics rarely cause abnormal sgot / sgpt but very rarely raised bilirubin
also concomitant use of alcohol or alternative medications can lead to abnormal liver function test and bilirubin.
hope this answers your query.
happy to help
best wishes
