Will An Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Help In Treating Post Nasal Drip?
Question: I am 22 Year Old Male. I have chronic Halitosis. I have seen many dentist and in the end i discovered it is because of Sinus. However ct scan shows that polyps are not formed. But i have post nasal drip all the time and doctors says it is because of my postnasal drip. I have tried medication, nasal speays and improved my lifestyle. However no change in halitosis. Will endoscopic sinus surgery help in my post nasal drip? And my tongue is always coated.

Hi Sir,
I have gone through your follow up query; it suggests that halitosis most probably due to the paranasal sinus infection leads to post nasal drip.
If you tried the conservative management of sinus infection and it fails then better to go for the endoscopic sinus surgery otherwise tried the conservative management such as
1. Macrolide antibiotics
2. Hypertonic saline nasal wash containing the sodium biborate, xylitol and sodium bicarbonate.
3. Steroid nasal spray
Continue the above mentioned treatment for at least three weeks after consulting with your doctor.
Please send me the images of your CT scan of paranasal sinuses and nasal endoscopy report for better guidance of your management.
