Will Epididymitis Infection Have An Effect On Fetus?

Question: I am 24 years old, believe i have epidydimitis, I am almost sure it was caused by sti, maybe ureaplasma, or vaginosis, my urologist has me on bacterum but seems not to be working. me and my wife are thinking of a baby ,, i just want to make sure it wont affect her or the fetus, we had sex before and my bacteria didnt transmitted to her please any recommendations.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you are suspecting to have infection of epididymis (Epididymitis)

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have any urinary symptoms ?
2) Do you have pain in scrotum or lower abdomen ?
3) Did you have unprotected sex with unknown woman ?

Normally one gets STI after having unprotected sex with sex worker or unknown female partner and rarely after sex with wife .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of scrotum.(To confirm diagnosis of Epididymitis)

In the mean while continue taking medication with anti inflammatory medicine like Diclofenac twice daily .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

As regards your query about side effects of these drugs on fetus I would state that these drugs taken over a short period will not have any side effects on growth of the fetus .

Yes i have lower back pain, burning diring urination, scrotum, testicles hardened and a bit bigger like 20 percent, i did slept with unknown women urinalysis was good, and no stds, so I assume it is bacteteria but still an sti, i believe i got it from sex,,,, and if i got it from sex does it mean i might pass it down ? I heard epidydimitis is not transeferred trough sex, and i will go get the ultrasound,,,, alslo i sent a pic please see if you see anything abnormal... thx
