When Do Babies Start Playing With Toys?

Question: My daughter is about 5.5 months. What age will kids start touching and try playing with toys? Like small toys.

After 5-6 months..

Excellent question.

By 5-6 months child starts holding toys with both hands
.After one month they start transferring toys from one hand to other
.At 7-9 months they start reaching for toys
.They start understanding colours by 3-6 months
.They understand music coming out from toys by the age of 3 months
.at 5-6 months they explore toys and other things by putting in mouth

ONLY PRECAUTION YOU SHOULD TAKE IS THAT TOYS SHOULD NOT BE SMALL OR SHOULD NOT HAVE DETACHABLE SMALL PARTS OR DETACHABLE BATTERIES AS THERE IS DANGER OF CHILD SWALLOWING IT AND THEN CHOKING. COLOUR OF TOYS SHOULD BE NON TOXIC AND LEAD FREE

Thanks for your review.At this age kids try to explore everything through mouth sensation (oral phase of development). Secondly they start teething at this age and so want to chew at everything to fulfil uncomfortable sensation.
