Question: Hello,
it appears that my daughter has dermographism. She also has a peanut allergy. Should we be concerned with this condition?

I have gone though your query and have checked the attached image. Indeed it is a case of dermographism. The exact cause of dermographic urticaria is unknown. Histamine is the main chemical released by mast cells when the skin is stroked, but other chemical mediators may also be involved. Antihistamines like cetirizine or benadryl often give good relief from symptoms. Alternatively mast cell stabilizers like monteleukast (prescription medicine) can be given along. It might need to be given regularly or off-and-on over several months. Otherwise you need not grow concerned.
