Question: How does death result from stage 4 colon cancer spread to liver? If the cancer ultimately kills the patient , what exactly happens?

It is difficult to predict but common causes are liver dysfunction and ultimately liver failure, infection, bleeding and fluid accumulation in abdomen with respiratory difficulty.

What exactly would happen in an individual patient can't be predicted.
