Brief Answer:
it can be used...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

this drugs can be used for pyelonephritis. The dosage is 1 tablet (500/125) three times daily for 14 days and a single dose of either 5-7mg/Kg of gentamicin or tobramycin. This is not the preferred treatment though. Ciprofloxacin and other quinolones are preferred for a urinary tract infection with fever.

Kind Regards!

Brief Answer:
500/125 is OK for urinary tract infection without fever usually

Detailed Answer:
A kidney infection causes high fever with rigor. If you don't have fever then kidney infection can be excluded with a high degree of certainty. 500/125 is OK for a urinary tract infection without fever, unless the causative agent is resistant to it. You can only know if it's resistant or not by doing a culture and an antibiogram.

Kind Regards!
