Question: my daughter has what they call webbing of the throat can you explain to me what it is

Throat webs or webbing of the throat are due to abnormal congenital membranes left inside the esophagus. It results in a sensation of lump inside the throat.

They can remain asymptomatic and require no treatment but in many patients can cause dysphagia for which esophageal dilation is performed.

H 2 blockers and PPIs can be prescribed for symptoms of GERD , based on severity, in consultation with your doctor.
