Brief Answer:
USG whole abdomen

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear XXXXXXX Welcome back,
I've reviewed the USG report..

First of all, there are features of chronic liver disease or CLD (mildly enlarged liver with echogenic coarse parenchyma with enlarged spleen and fatty infiltration of the pancreas along with mild gall bladder wall thickening)..CLD is a form of progressive destruction and regeneration of the liver parenchyma leading to fibrosis/hardening & thickening or scarring of the connective tissue and cirrhosis i.e. where the healthy liver tissue is replaced with scar tissue, and shrinks progressively ,preventing the liver from functioning properly ..

Along with it, there's trace ascites (it's an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the abdominal/peritoneal cavity) in pelvis i.e. the lower part of the body in between the lower abdomen and thigh region..

Now there's a solid hyper-echoic mass (lesion) in the right lobe of liver of (28.6 x 30.7 x 31.5) mm, which needs further work-ups to decide about the exact etiology/cause in this regard.. although it's mentioned in the report as hepatoma (a type of malignancy of the liver cells), still it's just a possibility, to ascertain the exact nature of the lesion, she should be investigated further , as rightly mentioned at the end of the report i.e. by FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology from the lesion and histopathological examination under microscope), as well as AFP (a specific tumor marker in this regard) and a Triphasic CT scan (it's a contrast enhanced CT technique mostly used to evaluate liver lesions)..

Each and every single investigation should be done along with thorough work-ups to arrive to the final diagnosis and she should be under supervision of a Gastro-enterologist for further management in this regard..yes, diabetes is also a risk factor for developing such chronic ailments..

I've made it as simple as possible for you to understand, feel free to let me know if there's any further queries..
