What Does This Thyroid Profile Test Result Indicate?
Question: My TSH is very high just had a full thyroid panel done 9/14/2015...I'm sending the results .pdf file.....I already have been taking Levothyroxine 150mcg per day for several years earlier this year in XXXXXXX 2015....my TSH came back @ less than .05 uIU/mL.... Please help! We have no endocrinologists in our area and the doctors we do find (far away) only have appointments months away!!

Noted your concern.
TSH is high where as T4 and Free T3 are normal. There are few possibilities.
1) Have you gained weight ?? In that case, your dose has to be increased.
2) Did you miss your tablets in between?. In that case, your TSH will remain high, but T4 will be normal.
3) Are you storing the levothyroxine in a hot area, near the window, in kitchen or near microwave or similar substances which emit heat? Or have you ever kept tablets in locked car? In that case, there is a likelihood that your tablets are losing the strength.
4) Are you suing calcium, Iron, antacids or acidity pills? Do you have indigestion or bloating? If that is the case, your stomach may not be absorbing the levothyroxine well.
In all of the above situations, TSH can remain high. May I know your weight in kilograms? That will help myself to calculate the required dose. Do you currently suffer from any symptoms of hypothyroidism.
If you have no symptoms, it is better not to change the dose and recheck TSH after 6 weeks . But I would advice to start the pills from a new pack and keep the levothyroxine always in dry and cool areas, away from light and heat. Remember to take the tablet on empty stomach an hour before any food including tea.

Between 1/2014 and now I have lost 18.14 kg I now weigh about 99.16 kg I am 5' 11" tall and 57 years old and I keep my medicine in a sealed container in a sealed zip lock and out of the heat and light. I take a one a day vitamin for men over 50. I also take 150mg Zoloft and 150 mg Wellbutrin

For 99 kg, the approximate requirement is 150 mcg of synthroid. Since your TSH is high, you may start with Synthroid 150 mcg x 5 days a week and 200 mcg x 2 days a week. This is only a suggestion which you should discuss with your PCP or endocrinologist before taking such a dose. Unfortunately, we can not issue prescription online as it is illegal. Once you modify the dose, recheck thyroid profile after 6 weeks.
