Brief Answer:
Bacterial infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Enlarged lymph nodes with such blood counts usually refers to bacterial infection any where or any kind of tumor like lymphoma of the node.

It is really difficult to break the causes with such less information. Please ask me more about your daughter and describe her problem in detail. Is she sick, what happened or how did all start at first?

Let me know if I can be of any help to you.

Ive noticed the enlarged lymph nodes for about 6mths. They are clearly visible on her neck from a distance. Size approx 2cms.
She is a very well child - does competitive running and football.
She went to the gp for a temp and headache and the gp sent bloods when noticing the enlarged lymph. She is going for an ultra sound scan on the nodes but nothing much been said about her blood results.

Brief Answer:
Bacterial infection including strep sorethroat

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Since the child is competitive and athletic I do not see a reason to worry until everything is clear. Temperature and headache are part of any infectious and inflammatory process. If it is infection even strep sore throat which is very common can enlarge nodes and show similar blood picture.

Let her complete the Ultrasound and let me know the report.
