Question: I am going through leg pain and wrist pain only on my left side which happens 24/7 non stop, sometimes mild and sometimes very severe. And sometimes i feel pain in my upper back and sometimes in waist..
I have been treated for this but no results till now. This pain is not very new , this has started since I was in 8th or 9th standard.
From last 3 to 4 yrs m consulting with doctors.

Recently I have done MRI
And the results came as below
1.small posterior protrusion of C5 C6 disc
2. Diffuse posterior bulge of C6 C7 disc
3.mild diffuse posterior bulge of C3 C4 and C4-C5 discs
4. Semi perineural cysts in the left neural foramen at C5 C6 and C6 C7 vertebral levels

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.

I have gone through your medical history in detail.

From the MRI reports ,it seems that the perineural cysts and the disc bulges are responsible for the chronic pain that you have been going through for so many years.

The disc bulges actually are not expected at your age as you are pretty young now.

May be you have had a childhood injury due to a fall in school days.

Waist and leg pain problems a be caused by similar disc bulges in the lumbar spine ( I think you have not done the MRI of lumbar spine)

As far as treatmet is concerned, physiotherapy including traction, infra red, shortwave diathermy and laser treatment are the best options available.

Perineural cysts can be treated surgically but its better to avoid surgery on spine at such young age.

Get blood calcium and vitamin D levels checked as deficiencies of these also can aggravate the pain.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.

Thank you.
Best wishes.
