Brief Answer:
These findings mean a lack of blood flow to brain.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thank you for posting your query to HCM.

I have noted your MRI findings and other medical problems.

MRI findings of ischemia means a lack of blood flow to the brain. This blood flow is affecting tiny/small parts of brain, supplied by very small blood vessels.

The underlying cause of ischemia is most probably diabetes and hypertension.

Medication such as aspirin may be needed to prevent further ischemia of brain.

This is not a serious condition, and can be easily treated with medications.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
Jerks/tremors are not related to these.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

Jerks/tremors are not caused by these abnormalities seen on the MRI. Needs further metabolic work-ups(Serum electrolytes, Thyroid profile and other work-ups as well as thorough physical examination) to determine/rule out before coming to the exact diagnosis.

Feliz S (Escitalopram) can be continued for anxiety/depression.

Crestor (Rosuvastatin) is a good medicine to keep cholesterol under control.

Best wishes,

Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
