Brief Answer:
It means thyroid gland has the same composition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I read carefully your query.

It would be good if you could attach the CT scan report because it is important to read the whole description of your thyroid gland.

Thyroid gland has two lobes (right lobe and left lobe).
Thyroid tissue appears symmetric means that the two lobes of thyroid gland have the same structure and composition. The whole thyroid tissue is symmetric/has the same structure.
It might be normal symmetric tissue or pathological changes that have developed in the whole gland.I can't tell which is in your case without additional information.

If there aren't other findings in CT-scan ,it it a normal finding and describes a healthy thyroid gland.

Hope my answer has helped.
If you have any other question please feel free to ask,I will be happy to assist you further.

Regards!
