Posted on Mon, 1 Aug 2016
Question:
Hi, pls find attached a papsmear report of my 63 yr old mother (note that she has had a hysterectomy 10 -15 years back). Recently she developed a lot of discomfort while urinating and was given anti fungal treatment by the local gynecologist. She was asked to have a syscan 150 and locally apply estroil Creme. While the severeness of the Infection has reduced, it has not gone completely. Pls help interpret the report and advise on next steps

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Keep applying cream

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your health concerns about your mother.
I have seen the attached report and glad to tell you that there is nothing to worry as she just has atrophic vaginitis which is very common at her age and will be fine soon.
Ask her to apply estrogen cream as advised and she will feel good in a while
