What Does The Following Blood Test Result Indicate?
Allergy. Raised iron, bilirubin, cholesterol, Vit. B12
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The attached image shows a wheal ( raised patch of skin ) which seems to be allergic. Is there itching? Get an examination from a skin specialist.
2. Get an Allergo SPT test done. Upload the results.
3. After the test you can request your physician to prescribe an antihistamine.
4. Most of the blood tests are normal.
5. The raised serum iron and bilirubin can be investigated. The raised cholesterol and Vit B12 levels do not seem to be a cause if concern. Remember to repeat the tests. Do you drink or smoke?
6. An abdominal USG (Ultrasound), serum ferritin, TIBC ( Total Iron Binding Capacity), serum folate levels and any other tests decided by an MD Medicine doctor should be done.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
