Question: MRI reports for Dr. Prof. XXXXXXX Saha
doctor
Answered by Dr. Prof. Kunal Saha (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
I feel the hyperintensities to be linked. Visit a neurologist.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

I have checked the attachments. I would not like to ignore the hyperintensities on the MRI. I feel that could have a direct association with the pins and needle sensation that you had mentioned. Although the report is uncertain about the possibilities, a careful neurological evaluation and a clinical correlation should help in finding a correlation. Incidentally, there is no way I can do that sitting at a distance. I would therefore request you to visit a neurologist for clinical correlation. When you visit the doctor, please insist him to correlate if the area of the hyperintensities on the brain corresponds to the disposition of the altered sensation on the body.

Let me know if I could help further.

Thank you. I am having a further MRI with Gd this Monday and see Neurosurgeon after . He will have result immediately from Radiologist. thanks XXXX
Personally, i feel the tingling has nothing to do with brain function. I think there is a pinched nerve somewhere on my right side. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Clinical correlation needed.

Detailed Answer:
The MRI also reveals signs of cervical spondylosis with degenerative changes. So, nerve impingement and compression is indeed a possibility to consider. Rather than a neurosurgeon perhaps a neurophysician would be more competent to help you but visiting a neurosurgeon should also be somehow ok.

Let me know if I could help.
