Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
'Infarct' means dead part of brain, which became dead due to stopping of blood supply to that part of the brain. If an artery carrying blood to a specific brain part gets blocked,it may result in infarct. It may result in speech problems or paralysis.
Infarcts can be -
acute-means new infarct.
chronic-means old infarct.
Acute infarct over months becomes chronic infarct.
So,you might have had some old infarct.Risk of infarct increases more in smokers, hypertensives and diabetics.
Chronic infarct has nothing to do with new symptoms. It should not be worried for,if everything is ok.However, considering it as a risk for future infarcts, medicines(antiplatelets and statins) must be continued.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to answer else, please close the thread-rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

These are not related to infarct.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
No,these symptoms are not related to this infarct.
I do not advise any further tests at present. However,I would suggest you to get examined by a neurologist for the memory loss.A neurological examination may actually reveal whether your memory loss is organic or non-organic with the help of mini-mental examination.
If memory loss or dementia is proven, after examination, you may need further testing like MRI Brain.
Neurological examination will also rule out the neurological causes of chronic headache.
