Brief Answer:
your symptoms seems to be consistent with Acute thermal injury to esophagus

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query,

I have gone through your query and your symptoms seems to be consistent with an Acute thermal injury to esophagus causing a mild esophageal erosion.

In circumstances like this, if I was your treating doctor, I would suggest you to do the following:
- take Tab. Pantoprazole 40mg once daily in the morning half an hour before food.
- you are also required to take sucralfate suspension, which will help in covering the esophageal lining thus providing easier intake of food and water.
- replace all hot foods with cold bland diets like yogurt, cold mik. Do not take anything spicy or citric.

Esophageal burns are expected to resolve within a period of one week.

If at all, you may find your symptoms worsening, I would recommend you to consult with a gastro-enterologist for an endoscopy to rule out any further damage.

Hope this helps.
Please feel free to discuss further or else kindly close and rate.

Brief Answer:
Yes, its possible to heal without any medical aid

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for the follow up,

The treatment I had recommended for you included only antacids which helps in relieving your symptoms and also for faster healing of the esophageal tract. It is rare to have any allergic symptoms to these class of drugs.

Yes, its possible to heal without any medical treatments but I should warn you that it will take time, because esophagus is the one and only pathway for the food to pass, it will surely get exposed to all the solid and liquid diets. The passage of cold solids too might cause you some pain.

If you have a medical history of allergy to some drug, it would be better for you to find out what class of drugs did that medicine belong to and henceforth, you should avoid that class of drugs. You need not be allergic to all medicines.

You may consider getting an endoscopy done if you find no relief in your symptoms.

Hope I have answered to your query,
Regards
