Brief Answer:
Early cancer, which has been removed completely

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I went through your query and understood your concerns.

Your report says, thyroid gland removed shows a malignant(cancer) growth which is very 2mm in size found in right side of gland . But it has removed in a early stage means complete cancerous growth has removed(margins free) and there is no spread to other area ( encapsulated).
Hashimoto's thyroiditis is a type of autoimmune thyroid inflammation. It could be a cause for this cancer growth.

Staging of your cancer growth is limited to gland not seen in lymph node, early stage, good prognosis. Minimal chances of recurrence.

It's good that you have been treated for cancer in early stage.

Hope I answered your query . feel free to ask further related query.

Regards

what does this mean A central lympth node: Benign lymphoid hyperplasia negative for malignancy.

B. paratracheal lymphoid hyperplasia, with heterogeneous immunohistochemical markers, consistent with a benign process, with no evidence of metastatic papillary carcinoma.

A. thyroid, thyroidectomy: occult papillary carcinoma of the superior right lobe, encapsulated, with diffuse hashimoto's thyroiditis.

B. Central lymph node: Benign lymphoid hyperplasia negative for malignancy.

C. Paratracheal lymph node, right: A typical lymphoid hyperplasia pending further immunohistochemical study.

The incidental papiltary carcinoma is small, well encapsulated, and shows the usual classic cytomorphology and archlecture. the background shows severe hashimoto's thyrolditis. well defined lymphoid foilicles are circumscribed by a mantle of benign appearing lymphocytes. there are also adjacent perithyroidal nodes which are negative for malignancy.

Brief Answer:
No spread to surrounding structure

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.

Your pathology report says, there is no spread of thyroid cancer cells to any of surrounding lymphnodes. There is no spread of malignancy seen, They have examined different lymph nodes from different sites. All of them are not showing any cancer cells.

Cancer cells are seen only in thyroid gland and not in surrounding structure. This type of cancer has very good outcome. Very minimal chances of recurrence.
