Brief Answer:
You do not have typhoid.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXX, Good morning.

Thank you for posting your question here.

I have gone through your question and understand your concern.

Your report is perfectly normal and it means that you do not have typhoid at this time.

But there is one caveat with respect to WIDAL test, that is, it is not a very good diagnostic test when done only once and to be sure, you will need to repeat the test in 5 days time and see if the numbers have changed.

1 in 20 titres are generally considered negative, and if the same numbers are seen in two consecutive WIDAL tests then you can be absolutely sure that you do not have typhoid.

I sincerely hope I have been able to clear the doubt, I however realise that I might have added a bit of confusion and I welcome you to ask me for clarification if you need it.

Wishing you good health.

Best regards
