What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Posted on Mon, 3 Apr 2017
Question: Madam/sir, I am married since about 2 years. I am much afraid of pregnancy because I have heard some cases of complications of some women during delivery ( I don't know the exact complications). Even if I have heard some death cases during giving birth to a child. Is it really a life risk to give birth to a child ??? I am having PCO and sometimes late periods ( 5-6 days late). I checked myself with a doctor who said that I am having PCO by seeing ultrasound. Sir do I have any more risk than a normal woman ????

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Everyday, millions of women give birth, I and hardly a few die or have complications.
Risk of dying or having serious complications during pregnancy are rare, same as chance of dying while crossing the road or taking a flight.
Your fear is irrational and unnecessary.
You are not at any increased risk because of PCO.
Please relax.
Motherhood is the biggest gift from god.
All the best
