Brief Answer:
You need workup for causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

Thanks for writing to Health care magic I am Dr Muhammad Ahmad, I have read your question closely and will hereby help you in your health care problem.

Yes you need a proper work up if your enzymes are sugnificantly high, work up will also include blood works specially for hepatitis and other factors which may damage liver,

If your primary doctor thinks that your enzymes are significantly deranged then you will definitely need a specialist opinion to rule out the cause and consideration of treatment options.

Your hbg and other things can also be checked with simple blood works to don't be anxious and visit your Gp as soon as possible.

Best regards.

I have been checked and do not have hep. What would a specialist be ruling out that that the US and blood could not show?

Yes in that case you can discuss referral

Detailed Answer:
hello thanks for writing back,

You can talk to your primary to refer you to a specialist so that he can rule out atypical causes or other causes of deranged LFT.. or atleast tell you that you have no isses so that can take a XXXXXXX of relief and your anxiety can get relieved..i will also recommend you to avoid things which damage liver like obesity... pain killers other liver damaging meds and alcohol..what ever applies.

Regards.
