You should undergo Doppler study venous system of the affected leg to exclude deep vein thrombosis (DVT),since it has occurred after prolonged drive.

Brief Answer:
?DVT leg

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
A little more detail is needed. Is there any swelling of your calf or tenderness on pressure. What is the difference in circumference of both the calves taken at mid-length or is there any pitting edema on ankle or dorsum of foot on the affected side. Doppler study of venous system of leg is required and not plain ultrasonography of soft tissue of leg.Kindly upload the report. Go for serum Creatine phosphokinase (CPK) level. That will give an idea about muscle injury of the calf muscle.
