Question: A month ago my WBC was 3.3, Neutrophil 26.5%, Neutrophil Abs 0.9, Monocytes 22.3%, lymphocytes 47%, IG 0.03%, and IG abs 0.01. Now WBC 6.7, Neutrophil 48.1%, Neutrophil abs 3.2, mono 6.4%, lymph 40.2%, MCHC 31.4, IG 0.04% and IG abs 0.03. Is there any need for concern?

Brief Answer:
It's on improving trend

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to HealthcareMagic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through. Based on the history you have shared, and the reports, the blood counts are now on improving trends and in safe ranges but it needs, to be evaluated for the cause of initial derangement.

If it preceded with history of fever or infection, it can be a response to that and reverse once infection is settled.

A Hematologist review for any need of bone marrow aspiration or serum LDH and peripheral films. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.

I don't know if this is relevant but I have had reoccurring headaches, dizziness, and mouth ulcers for several months as well as painful hip/back, tiredness, and shortness of breath climbing the stairs to our basement.

Brief Answer:
It needs detailed autoimmune and relevant blood workup

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. With these symptoms, it necessitates to have work up for the development of all these symptoms and to start with basic autoimmune diseases workup should be started, including the baselines investigations like CRP, ESR, ANA as well as RA factor. Alongwith these LDH and other baselines like complete blood pictures with peripheral film, and relevant workup for blood dispirders, is also a good way to start with. The goal is to diagnose the cause promptly and to deal with it hence. An Echo cardiogram and chest Xray for the symptoms like shortness of breath also needs to be done as it can also be a sign in autoimmune diseases. Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
