What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 26 Mar 2015
Question: Hello!
In 2005 I had my first surgerry on my right ear for otomastoiditis.
Than in 2008 I had a new one for Cholesteatoma and in 2011 a new Cholesteatoma.
The last one was in 2012 mastoidectomy with timpanic implant.
This CT I made those days.
What is it your opinion about the situation?

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
RESIDUAL/RECURRENCE.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having frequent episodes of otomastoiditis.

Based on your clinical details, it (otomastoiditis) occurs to be due to residual or recurrence of cholesteatoma.

Please upload the CT scan report, so that I can comment on your present status. If not done, kindly do.

Post mastoidectomy, periodic clearing of cholesteatoma sac need to be cleared under microscope. Hope, you are doing it. Any ways, kindly do ct temporal bone and upload.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Your CT scan looks normal. sclerotic changes are seen. some cuts are missing to give you in depth picture. Needs periodic microscopic follow ups for clearing.
