Question: I took a blood test and everything is in normal range except my eosinophils levels are high. I have been experiencing severe fatigue for a couple months now. Do you think my fatigue is related to high eosinophil counts?

Brief Answer:
Possibly not, exact counts important.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. High eosinophils is commonly seen in allergy or parasitic infestations.

2. Allergy leading on to difficulty in breathing or parasites in gut can lead onto severe fatigue.

3. If all the blood tests are normal and eosinophil is only mildly raised - for eg: 12%, it could be a possible cause. More details necessary for further opinion.

4. Check for thyroid hormone levels. Hypothyroidism is known to cause fatigue.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
