What Does Glucose Level Of 488 After Having Meals Indicate?

Question: I had a glucose level of 488 30 min after eating could I have diabetes I tested with my grandma glucose meter I have never been diagnosed with diabetes

Detailed Answer: Hello there, Nice to meet you here, I want you do an HbA1C level [glycated hemoglobin] to know whether you are diabetic or not,It is most accurate and reliable. Any time in the day, irrespective of meal if you had any reading above 200 is suggestive of diabetes .As your glucose level (488) is more than the normal, I also need you also to do an fasting and post prandial test[2 hours after meal] to know your level of serum glucose and to get treated accordingly.
