What Does Brown Discharge During Menstruation Indicate?
Question: I had an abortion on 5 XXXXXXX . i had my period on 5 feb (ist day brown blood, 2nd day red blood with mucous, 3rd day red blood with mucous and than normal periods)..my march period was due on 7 march, it was on time but only bleed brown for four days with only 10-12 drops of red blood which did not come out but was inside only and then stopped after that nothing. What could this be? No other symptoms

I am married and for prevention we use pull out method. I have gone through pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. BY ANY CHANCE CAN I BE PREGNANT AGAIN, or its only due to imbalanced harmones?? and what is the best way not to conceive as I have to complete my studies before baby.

If the pregnancy test is negative then pregnancy is ruled out. These tests are 97% accurate.
The decreased bleeding can be due to weakness after an abortion or due to anovulatory cycles after an abortion. This gradually comes back to normal in the next 2-3 cycles.
To avoid conception it is best to use a regular contraceptive pill like Ovral-L. Pull out method has a high failure rate of upto 30%/.
