What Does Blood Discharge From The Penis Indicate?

default
Posted on Fri, 9 Dec 2016
Question: My husband has a blood discharge from his penis, particularly in am. We had a urologist order a ultra sound of his kidneys which was done today but can not read pictures until next week. His postrate area looked okay when they did a check of that

About 8 months ago my husband was passing blood through his urine and it was determined by the urologist that when he had a stent put in his heart he was given a blood thinner and was on it longer than he was suppose to be on it. He immediately stopped taking the blood thinner and the bleeding stopped. Now it has started up again.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through the medical history of your husband carefully and understood your concern.

Now, you say he is having blood from urethra. Urologist checked 8 months ago when he had same problem, and nothing was found in his prostate.
However, you are reporting that he used blood thinners at that time, which he stopped. Is he used these blood thinners fir the moment?

Next, you say he has checked his urinary pathways, can you please tell what was found? (stones? high concentrated urine? infection?)

High concentrated urine or even stones can lacerate urinary pathways and cause bleeding from urethra (penis).

Continue giving plenty of plain water. Urine antiseptic like uva Ursi, cranberry, etc can help.

Looking forward to have the requested information for further assistance.
