Brief Answer:
Stop taking Tusq tablets, it effect will start reducing in 3 yo 6 hours

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I had gone through your question and I really appreciate your concern
Phenylephrine increases heart rate and may cause tachycardia
Since you are already taking B blocker so I would advise you to immediately stop Tusq tablets
As phenylephrine has short duration of action so it's effect will start reducing in 3 to 6 hours.
You can take any other anti allergic or antihistamines drugs like fexofenadine or levocetirizine, another good option for cold is Xylometazoline nasal spray or drops which is a good decongestant with very minimal or no side effects.

Here I would like further information related to your cold and throat infection
Are you running fever or having cough?
are you having sore throat, nasal congestion or difficulty in swallowing

In my opinion you should continue with moxikind cv and do gargling with warm saline water or antiseptic mouth wash
Steam inhalation and deep breathing exercises will definitely help you
you should also take multivitamin supplements especially vitamin C.
Hope this answers your question

Dear Doctor sir,
Thank you very much for answering.
I met my doctor also. He also told me to stop tusq and continue moxikind CV tab.
my temperature is 98.
Little cold still there.
He gave me Fepanil 500mg(3times perday) and Levocit D(1time perday).
i checked my pulse on my own....it is around 85 to 90(after taking seleken XL 50mg beta blocker in the morning). i think its OK.
Shall i use fepanil n levocit. i hope they dont contradict with my B blocker.
one more question doctor. what is the best pulse rate monitor. i want to use it while going for walking to monitor how my pusle is during the walk and after the walk. i want to check in how much time it is coming back to normal after stopping walk. can u suggest any company for such purchase. i stay in hyd. i can get one from market.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Continue with fepanil and levocit d.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again and thanks for the details
You should continue with fepanil and levocit d both the tablet, they will not interfere with the seleken xl.

since your body temperature is normal so you might not require fepanil, check your temperature for 1 or 2 days if it remains normal than you can stop fepanil as well.

I would advise you for TMT test and Echocardiography by an cardiologist to find out the underlying cause for high pulse rate.

I would advise you to avoid stress and anxiety
Avoid smoking and alcohol and weight management is advisable.
Hope this answers your question
Best wishes

Dear doctor,
thank you for replying.
But, i found online Levocit D also contain Phenylephrine .then why dont it effect in the same way the tusq effected

Answered by Dr. Dr. BR Hudda (6 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
You should take plain levocetirizine instead of levocit d

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again
You need not to take phenylephrine at all, in my opinion you should take plain levocetirizine 10 mg that will relieve symptoms of cold.
Levocit D is a combination drug of levocetirizine and phenylephrine and it will definitely affect your heart rate
So you should take plain levocetirizine instead of levocit D
Hope this answers your question
