Brief Answer: Consult a Surgeon: It is probably an anal abscess Detailed Answer: Hi Ma'am, Thanks for posting your query on this forum. From the sketchy information provided, I presume that you mean, presence of a painful bump between the anus and the tailbone. It is most likely an abscess (called anal or perianal abscess), a condition in which there is collection of pus near the anus, in either the superficial or deeper soft tissues surrounding the anal canal. Drainage of the abscess- by giving a XXXXXXX and remove the pus- is the best and most successful treatment. Possibility of other uncommon causes can be considered, provided you intimate the details and outcome of the treatment (surgery, chemo or radiotherapy) for testicular cancer. I would therefore suggest that you consult a Surgeon, who will examine your husband, confirm presence of anal abscess and carry out drainage of the pus- a minor procedure. Hope I have addressed your concerns to your complete satisfaction and you find my response helpful and informative. I will be happy to answer further queries, if any. Fond regards and have a nice day, Col (Dr.) Rakesh Karanwal
