What Does "Two Subserous Fibromyomas 12mm And 10mm Seen No Calcification" Mean?

Posted on Fri, 5 Dec 2014
Question: My wife had her myomectomy in May 2013 and delivery through c-section on May 2014. During a follow up scan, report says as follows:

Uterus: Anteverted. Two subserous fibromyomas 12mm and 10mm seen no calcification. Cavity normal.

I would like to know what should be the next step. How the further growth can be prevented? Can diet be regulated to prevent the growth?

Brief Answer:
TOO SMALL, DONT WORRY, GET A VAGINAL SCAN

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have gone through the report.
There is nothing to worry here.
The fibroid seedlings are too small, they would not cause any problem.
There is no known medication to prevent their growth in the future, but as such, they are unlikely to grow, they are so tiny right now.
ALso, the best modality to evaluate them is not an abdominal ultrasound scan, but a vaginal pelvic scan.
Take care.
