Brief Answer:
You seem to have Prostatitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

There is no Semen Culture report attached to your query .

Based on the symptoms that you have since one year and report of your semen analysis which revealed presence of 3-5 pus cells I suspect you to have Prostatitis .

Kindly repeat semen culture to confirm the diagnosis .

In the mean while you can start taking combination of Sulphmethoxazole and Trimethoprim (Bactrim D,S ) twice daily and later switch on to appropriate antibiotic as per culture report .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Sir Getting an error while attaching another report.
Semen Culture report says - Sterile. Nothing eles is written.
As recommend today i have given sample again for culture test to a different lab this time.
Kindly suggest, million/cmm in the attached report means low sperm count ?? And can this be related to the symptoms i am having?

Brief Answer:
Lab has erred in mentioning sperm count

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .
Lab has erred in mentioning sperm count in terms of how many millions
Normally Sperm count ranges from 30-60 millions per cubic millimeter if the count is zero it is specifically mentioned in report

I would suggest the report clarified from lab or repeat it too at different lab .

Symptoms have no relation to sperm count .

Please do write after you get fresh Semen culture and Semen Analysis report

Thanks and Regards.

Hello Sir,

Urine culture and semen culture came out normal(Reports attached). However i still have pain but the pain has reduced to some extend. No medicine taken so far. Dr also suggested CT Scan(Report attached). Also got RFT done, came out normal. While going through my old reports i discovered that the size of my prostrate has increased by 5cc with in last 2 years(2 year old and latest ultrasound attached)11.8 cc to 16.7 cc.

Sir i switched career 2.5 years ago and now i run a garments shop. As per my new business requirement's i have to sit for long hours(10 to 11 hours) daily and also in winters when i have huge customers flow, a lot of times i have to sit even when i have the urge to urinate for long.

Can this be the cause of all the problems. Or should i get further evaluation and testing done as the size of the prostrate has increased by 5cc in 2 years and i also have pain.

Brief Answer:
All relevant reports are within normal range

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up and uploading reports .

The size of the prostate which has increased by 5 cc from 11 cc to 16 cc is still within normal values of 22 cc for a normal healthy man .Hence there is nothing to be worried about it.

Rest of the tests like CT and USG are normal .

Holding on urine for a long time leads to congestion of bladder and other pelvic organs This congestion causes pain in pelvic region ,tail bone and back .

Ensure to empty your bladder every 2-3 hours .

Thanks and Regards.

Thank you for a prompt reply sir.

Sir Pain has increased to a huge extend within last 2 days. And dr has prescribed me all medication's of non bacterial prostatitis. However as per my family history, no one ever had any prostrate problem ever before.

I had a bad fungal infection in my groin area and area srounding testicals 2 years ago and was fixed by A cream Candid and 2 tablets of Fluconazole. Is there a chance that it is not a bacteria, it is actually a fungal infection that went inside? Is there any test available to check fungal infection in prostrate? If yes then please let me know i will get it done.

Brief Answer:
There is no entity like Fungal infection of Prostate

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

I have not heard or come across fungal infection of prostate in my 40 years of practice .

Abacterial Prostatitis is never cured completely One has to take medications like antibiotic and Anti inflammatory drugs like Diclofenac when it flares up or recurs .

Continue taking drugs prescribed by your family Physician .

Thanks and Regards.

One last question sir,

I have issues with urination now, some days urine output is really low and on some days urine output is excessively high.

This is also a symptom of Non bacterial prostatitis??
