Question: I have a MDRD GFR 2 reading of 91.7 and a MDSRD GFR1 reading of 75.8.
I am 68 caucasian female what do these numbers mean?

These are equation which are used for estimation of glomerular filteration rate which signifies kidney function. The modification of diet in renal disease (MDRD) study eqaution is used for that purpose and other one is chronic kidney disease epidemiology collaboration (CKD-EPI) these are the most widely used for GFR estimation
It should be greater than 60ml/min/1.73m2.
These equations incorporate serum creatinine, age , gender and ethinicity. They are used for diagnosing and monitoring treatment of renal diseases, adjusting dosage of meds excreted through kidneys and monitoring in renal transplants.
