Brief Answer:
PSA level is high needs to do further tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .Based on the facts and all your reports you have hypertension ,high Cholesterol ,and have been prescribed appropriate medications however high level of PSA needs to beconcerend .

High level of PSA could be due to iether of following two factors
1) Infection of prostate (Prostatatitis
2) Benign Enlargement of prostate (Common at this age )
3) Cancer of the prostate

I would suggest you to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis

Take antibiotics like Cefexime and Nitrofurantoin twice daily for two weeks and repeat PSA .If the PSA remains to be higher than normal value of 4n you will need to go for Ultrasound Guided Multi-core Prostate Biopsy.to rule out Cancer of Prostate Prostate .As it is international protocol that high PSA is in majority of cases is due to Cancer of Prostate unless proved otherwis by doing Biopsy.
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Thanks for your reply, if I summaries then it comes below points.

Tests to do:
1) clinical and digital rectal examination
2) Urine routine and culture.
3) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis.
4) repeat PSA.
5) If the PSA remains to be higher than normal value of 4n you will need to go for Ultrasound Guided Multi-core Prostate Biopsy.

Medicines to take:
3) Take antibiotics like "Cefexime" and "Nitrofurantoin" twice daily for two weeks and repeat PSA .

Now my further questions:-
-----------------------------
1) "Cefexime" and "Nitrofurantoin" twice daily for two weeks, can be taken along with existing medicines or it will be the replacement of some medicines?
2) As you suggested to consult qualified Urologist..So Can you suggest some good and qualified Urologist in XXXXXXX and DELHI? those places are near to me.
3) Can you go through page 5 of attached pdf report which contains urine routine and culture, and comment? Are you asking to repeat same tests along with PSA?
4) "Ultrasound Guided Multi-core Prostate Biopsy", and "Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis" are blood related or urine related tests? what are the aprox costs of those tests?

Brief Answer:
Read answers as detailed below

Detailed Answer:

Hello
Thanks for follow up I would answers your questions point tp point as detailed below

1) You can take medications which I have suggested, pertaining to raised PSA .You can take these medications along with drugs that you are taking for other illness like Hypertension ,high Cholesterol etc

2) You can go to any Corporate Hospital and ask for XXXXXXX Urologist in XXXXXXX

3) I've gone through all the pages of the attached reports, Urine routine was there at page 5, culture is not done .You may not do it again now.

4) Ultrasound Guided Prostate Biopsy is a sort of minimally invasive surgery where Urologist will take small pieces of Prostate tissue and submit these pieces to Pathologist for Histopathological examination to confirm or Rule out cancer of the prostate (This is very definitive and confirmatory test)

Ultrasound Scanning is a non invasive Radiological test that gives idea about size of the prostate and status of the rest of the urinary organs like Kidneys (This is not a blood or Urine Test, and cost varies from each and every different laboratories ).

Hope this will clear your doubts .

Thanks and Regards.
