What Do These MRI Findings Indicate?
Question: I had a vestibular schwannoma removed Nov 29, 2016. I had a MRI the very next day and the clinical indication came back Neoplasm brain unspec malignant. I was never aware of this until I went for my follow up MRI on May 23, 2017. The clinical indication came back benign neoplasm of cranial nerves. How can this be? The MRI also states that the residual left mastoid air cells demonstrate fluid opacification. there is persistent mild narrowing of the left sigmoid sinus which remains patent. It also states a small ankle retention cyst in the left maxillary sinus. I have not spoken with my doctor about these reports yet. I currently have a salt taste in my mouth which my doctor is aware of. My sinuses continue to drain and I am still having severe headaches since the operation. I get tired very easily and my short term memory is terrible.

However, no such finding has been detected. In such a case you need not worry.
The complaints that you have are a sequel of the surgery and you would need to be patient and wait for it to subside. I would insist you to take steam inhalation. It will help to ease your sinusitis.
