Question: Hi Doctor
Trust you remember me from my earlier question. I have uploaded my test results for PCR RNA, HIV Antigen and HIV Antibody tests amongst others. The tests were undertaken 18 days after exposure.
Could you pls review the same and let me know what is the next suggested course of action, as well as the conclusiveness of these results?

Brief Answer:
The risk of HIV is very unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome to HCM.

Definitely I remember you my friend. All the reports you had attached are negative and these are highly reliable after 18 days of exposure so nothing to be worried about as the risk is very remote.

You can go for repeat testing after 6 weeks and 12 weeks to get more reliable and conclusive results as per international HIV guidelines. Allay the fear, be relaxed and get back to me if any doubt left.

Thank You

Hi Doctor

To give you additional context, my initial exposure was as follows

Recently on a business trip, I went to a massage parlor and got a full body massage. Post the massage, the lady (of unknown HIV status) gave me a handjob and also performed oral sex (while using a condom).

During this time, I also briefly kissed her vagina and performed oral sex on her superficially for 15-20 sex. What are my chances of acquiring HIV? I understand from these forums that Oral Sex has lower but non zero risk of HIV Transmission. Is that an academic thought or have there been reported cases of oral sex leading to HIV transmission.

Thanks again for your response.

Brief Answer:
The chances of acquiring the infection are very remote.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

The risk of contracting HIV from unprotected oral sex and hand job is very less as you already understand and I have also not seen any such patient or there are no such cases reported in whom oral sex lead to HIV; so allay the fear or anxiety related to HIV and get tested again after one month as per routine guidelines.

Thank You
