What Do Swollen And Red Discoloration Of The Neck With Fever Indicate?

Question: what should I do?
I have a swollen gland left side was only under jaw jointg earlier. I saw my pcm got antibiotic have taken 2 so far 6 hours apart. My neck is now more swollen, totally red all the way down neck, hurts, and, I currently have a 101 degree temp.

Swollen glands along with fever is a clear indication of infection and the swollen gland seems to be swollen lymph nodes..

So continuing antibiotics should be done and along with it you can start taking a combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen after consulting an Emergency room..

In case if the symptoms does not improve or tend to worsen then you can get a blood test done to rule out the exact nature of infection..

Also please write back which antibiotic you are taking?

Yes, continue taking Cephalexin and along with it get a prescription of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen combination from Emergency room so that the fever,swelling, pain and redness gets reduced..
