Question: Hi , I have asthma and suffer from dry skin conditions frequently ,I use locoid lipo cream it usually works sometimes I think it's allergy related I've had ringworm in past and am aware that it's hard to get rid of , I woke up yesterday with two large enough circles on my cheeks of face I noticed they are round and lighter on the inside, dark around outside , it was very inflamed and angry, I immediately put daktarin cream on and it started to fade redness, now it is back up flared again... Does alcohol play apart ?? As I had some to celebrate st Patricks day... It's just the daktarin is not working as well as it did this morning and seems to be spreading closer to my eye... What am I doing wrong??? It's hot slightly burning!! can you please give me some advice ?? Thank you

Brief Answer: rosacea Detailed Answer: Hello It cannot be fungal as fungal infections don't flare with alcohol and also they don't appear suddenly. Daktarin is anti fungal cream so it's not going to help you. Probably you are suffering from rosacea. It is a vascular dilation and is related to flare up with alcohol. Please apply a mild steroid cream like hydrocortisone in night and a sunscreen with 50 + spf in day. Do this for a week you will get relief. If possible upload a photograph of your face. This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis. Thank you
