Brief Answer:
You can have pregnancy symptoms and not be pregnant

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

Pregnancy symptoms vary widely between women and even the symptoms we typically associate with pregnancy like bloating, breast tenderness, mood changes, nausea, and irregular bleeding can be caused by hormonal imbalances as well as pregnancy. These hormone imbalances can also make a woman miss her period, mimicking pregnancy.

An HCG (pregnancy hormone) level less than 5 is not pregnant. So it is not possible that even your partner is pregnant even though may have missed her period for 9 weeks.

A hormonal evaluation by a gynecologist would help find out why your partner may have missed her period. If appropriate, she may be treated with medication to help her regular cycle to come back and that will likely make her symptoms go away.

I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that this information was helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.

The tricky part to this is my ex girlfriend is claiming to still be pregnant even though I went with her twice to get blood work at week 8 and 9. I was there for the blood work and was there when the doctor gave the results. Both times under one. She's claiming she still is pregnant and showed me an ultrasound of a baby at 10 weeks, I'm assuming the ultrasound is fake. I just need medical facts that is in nearly impossible for her to have a baby with two negative blood test that far along.

Brief Answer:
There is no way she could be pregnancy with an HCG less than 5

Detailed Answer:
Hello again-

It is not possible for a woman to have a live pregnancy with a heartbeat with an HCG level less than 5. That level is considered a negative pregnancy test. If you were absolutely sure the level was 1 when you were shown an ultrasound photo then the photo cannot be accurate, as the level of 1 is a non pregnant level.

I hope this additional information is helpful and best of luck with your current situation.

So there's no exception to the rule as I'm %100 sure it was under 1 both times?

Brief Answer:
Less than 5 is a negative pregnancy test- which means she was not pregnant

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

To clarify- her blood test of 1 would not register as positive on a pregnancy test. It is impossible for someone to be pregnant with a negative pregnancy test.

So no- there are no exceptions to this.

I hope this additional clarification was reassuring.
