What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

default
Posted on Fri, 20 May 2016
Question: Hi,

Please find attached my last TSH & Lipid profile test reports. Basically, I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid a year ago and since then I am taking Eltroxin tab 125 mcg daily.

Currently, I am taking ATORLIP 10 mg daily at night. Kindly suggest what would be the best course of action at this point of time with the current test reports.

Thanks.

Just to add, I was not on Eltroxin 125 mcg right from the beginning. Dosage was increased as per the need. Currently, since last 5-6 months, I am taking Eltroxin tab 125 mcg daily.

I have attached the latest reports. Kindly take a look and advice.

Brief Answer:
Thyroid function is normal, lipids are high

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

Your TSH is now normal, which means you are on correct dose of thyroid medication

Your cholesterol and other lipid parameters are high. So you need to increase the dose of Atorlip to 20 mg. Hope you are regular with medications.

You can repeat the blood tests after 6 months.
