What Do My Blood Test Reports Indicate?

Question: Before we start, please take a look on the questions ive asked before and what i am talking about: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/AskDoctorInboxServlet?page=viewQuery&queryId=243585 and http://www.healthcaremagic.com/AskDoctorInboxServlet?page=viewQuery&queryId=244589

This is an update: my girlfriend had a blood test and a pap test. The blood test hasn't shown any numbers out of the normal ranges (I have uploaded the pictures, its in portuguese, but take a look, if you don't understand i can translate), and she was required to do the pap test again tomorrow.

As i told on the previous query, the ultrasound also hasn't shown anything suspicious or out of the ordinary. The blood test looks ok.

My questions are:
1) Why she was required to do the pap test again? (4 days later)
2) Is it still a hormonal imbalance pattern? Given that the blood test looks fine and so the ultrasound... Can the pap test show anything different? What is it?

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
The bleeding can be due to hormonal changes in the body.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The PAP test can be repeated due to inadequate or a blood stained sample. It is not suggestive of any pathology. Her blood reports are normal.
PAP test is done to rule out any cervical lesion- a local cause of bleeding. If there is a unhealthy cervix or chronic inflammation then mild spotting can happen.
Even if the blood reports are normal the cause of such irregular bleeding is hormonal and is not worrisome. It will gradually improve with the help of oral birth control pills.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

thanks for answering. Does the current birth control pill still effective? or because the need to change, the current one might not work properly?

Brief Answer:
It is still effective.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome back to HCM.
Thanks for writing again.

Well the current birth control pill is still effective to protect her against pregnancy if she is taking it regularly. The need to change the pill is to correct the hormonal disturbance.

Hope my answer is helpful.
