Question: for recurring fever over 4 days to my 7 yrs old don, the Dr advised for blood test. CBC. CRP. TYPHIDOT IGM. DENGUE DUO.
To control fever Ibugesic plus 10 ml every 6hr.
tests results received, no Dengue, Malaria, Typhoid but high CRP. why, nt clear

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Since all the tests are negative so I don't find anything to worry.
CRP is a non specific market of infection. It doesn't carry much value.
I would recommend you to wait for 2 more days and I am very hopeful that his fever would subside.
From today onwards his fever would start subsiding as it's his 4th day of fever.
Viral fever these days do persist for up to 5-6 days.
If it persists more we need extensive investigations.
