Detailed Answer:
Hello,

the eye vessels are the only blood vessels that may become visible. Chronic conditions that damage the blood vessels like arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus can be diagnosed or evaluated by looking at the vessels of the eye.

Healthy retinal vessels cannot exclude problems in other vessels but they generally indicate a good cardiovascular system but the results of the ophthalmological examination cannot substitute the cardiological examination.

I hope I've clarified the situation for you.

Kind Regards!
