Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

The symptoms you described are not specific for one particular diagnosis, but may be part of a number of different problems.

That the Claritin seems to have helped might mean that the problems are allergy related. Dry mouth can happen from taking decongestants, antihistamines, and other medications, but it can also happen if you are having allergic problems and breathing or sleeping with your mouth open. The fatigue, irritability and brain fog can happen from poor sleep and from anxiety and stress too. But I think it would be a good idea, if the symptoms continue, to go in to be seen for an exam and have a few blood tests done. In particular, it would be good for your thyroid function to be tested (TSH and Free T4). Because untreated thyroid problems can cause these symptoms too. Also get blood sugar checked as elevated blood sugar can cause dehydration and fatigue.

Does any of this sound like it applies to you? Without a more thorough history of what has been going on and any ongoing medical conditions, this is what comes to mind.

If you are having more stress and anxiety and poorer sleep as a result, I recommend mindfulness/meditation, yoga, exercise, talking with a counselor, and if none of that helps, then sometimes medications such as SSRIs.
