What Do Blisters In Vagina Indicate?

Question: About a week ago I was in Miami for the weekend. I ended up getting sick with what seemed to be a virus going around. I let it run it's course. I got home Sunday and on Monday I felt irritated and itchy and noticed my right labia swelling. I left it alone for a few days and on the third day I scratched and it swelled up so bad. A doctor on here recommended monistat thinking it was a fungal infection in my vagina. Well two days ago I noticed why it burned when I peed was because I have what looks like 3 very tiny canker sores on my left and right labia. I could barely see them until I looked thoroughly. What could this be?? I don't have insurance and can't go get checked please help.

Brief Answer: It can be herpes or bacterial infection. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Thank you for your query. It can be herpes or a bacterial infection. Is it only right sided? Is it painful? Do you have fever and is there pus/discharge from the site? I need to see the sores to make a correct diagnosis. Can you please upload a picture of the sores so that I can get a better idea. Regards

There is no puss or discharge, the swelling was only on my right labia but there's two sores on my right and one on my left. They only hurt when I pee because it stings and when they are touched just like a canker sore in the mouth. I bathed in salt water and it seemed to help a bit. I will try and upload a picture

Brief Answer: Can be a bacterial infection Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Thank you for the reply. They sound more like a bacterial infection. Do you have sexual intercourse without a condom as sometimes partners give the infection. Also please do upload a picture of it. Regards

I uploaded a photo it isn't good quality but it the best I could get. Those are the ones on my right labia. Could it be from sitting on public toilet seats? - I almost always use a condom, there have been a few times where I haven't. Once a few weeks ago and before that was 8-9 months ago most likely even longer than that.

Brief Answer: uploaded pic is a generic one. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Thank you for your reply. Sitting on public toilets can be a reason if they are not clean. If you always use a condom then its not from your partner. The photo you uploaded is a photo from the internet showing different lesions that can occur in a womans vagina. Which one looks like yours ? Can you upload an actual picture of your lesion . Then i will get a better idea regards

Brief Answer: looks like a bacterial or viral infection Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Sorry for the delay in answering. I saw the pictures. It looks more like a bacterial or viral infection . Definitely not fungal. I will advice you to get a culture swab of the lesion. At the same time you can start on a course of antibiotics and apply neosporin cream there. It will help. Once the culture reports come do let me know Regards
